You might also be eligible for SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, TANF, SNAP, Section 8 and other government assistance programs while you are waiting for your settlement check to arrive. If you are trying to train for a new profession which is compatible with any current physical limitations you may also be eligible for student financial aid.
